Daisy Fuentes line to hit all Kohl's stores in third quarter of the year
MSN Money - Breaking News: "The company has a stable of its own brands like Sonoma and Croft & Barrow, but the foundation of its strategy is selling brand names at low prices. Kohl's is now looking to stock more name-brand items on an exclusive basis, which is in line with what other department stores are doing.
``Everyone is looking for a way to differentiate their offerings and build store loyalty among a consumer who sees no need to be loyal to anybody,'' Retail Forward's Huff said.
The company's introduction of new brands has been well-received by analysts. Names include Martex, Laura Ashley lifestyles, Gloria Vanderbilt home, and Chaps clothing by Polo Ralph Lauren. The fashion line by model Daisy Fuentes was so successful in a test run, that it is being rolled out into all stores in the third quarter.
Later this year, the company will roll out cosmetics departments in its stores as part of a partnership with Estee Lauder Cos."
