Fuentes to appear in ads for USTA
Commentary: Arrington's absence hurt show: "The USTA will spend about $3 million on an advertising campaign that is not utilizing tennis celebrities like Venus and Serena Williams, but rather celebrities from other areas.
Boxer Roy Jones Jr., '60 Minutes'' journalist Mike Wallace, race car driver Jeff Gordon and former MTV VJ Daisy Fuentes will be the first four to take part in the campaign. Jones and Fuentes will appear in English and Spanish print ads.
The goal is to get people who don't play tennis to sign up for instruction programs at over 3,000 designated centers. Industry groups hope to have 30 million recreational players by 2010, which is roughly the number of players around during the sport's heyday. "
